FAQ

1) What do I pay the personal trainer for their services if I get matched with a trainer?

You don't have to pay anything as a client for the matchmaking to FIT4FIT, but you will have to pay the personal trainer whatever rate that they will charge if you accept their service and contract, if you choose to work with that trainer. If you are a personal trainer, you would only have to pay a $25 referral fee for FIT4FIT for finding the client for you, and after that you get whatever the client pays you for your rate. The matchmaking tool is in testing right now, so FIT4FIT is not charging anything else to the personal trainer for the service, and FIT4FIT has a control group of personal trainers for testing, so FIT4FIT is not looking to add personal trainers to use for the matchmaking tool. If you are a personal trainer who is looking to use the service, please contact casey.wilson323@gmail.com, and FIT4FIT will get back to you to put you on the website if FIT4FIT needs personal trainers for the matchmaking compatibility tool.

2) How long does it take to get matched with a personal trainer after filling out the Client Matchmaking form?

FIT4FIT is in testing right now, matching clients with personal trainers manually, so FIT4FIT will get back to you within 48 hours with the personal trainer that is matched with you to get you going with chatting with the personal trainer about their services. If you haven't heard back from FIT4FIT about the personal trainer you are matched with after submitting the Client Matchmaking form, please contact casey.wilson323@gmail.com to let FIT4FIT know and FIT4FIT will get back to you during business hours.

3) What are the processes of how you find your personal trainers for FIT4FIT?

FIT4FIT looked for private personal trainers within the Boston, Massachusetts area that are the most reputable and qualified for their occupation, so that FIT4FIT can put out the best personal trainers for clients to choose from. FIT4FIT is looking for personal trainers that are both graduates in health related fields related to personal training and certifications for personal training and insured for the client's safety. FIT4FIT contacted and met with the personal trainers in person to find out what their business is about and about themselves. FIT4FIT wants to know the personal trainers that they put in their control group, so that clients get matched with the most highly qualified personal trainers, and not just someone they have common interests with.

4) I want to make changes to my Client Matchmaking form, and I already submitted it. What should I do?

If you want to make changes to your Client Matchmaking form, please contact casey.wilson323@gmail.com to change your information on your form, because FIT4FIT is manually matching clients with personal trainers, so it would change your options for personal trainers that you are matched with.

5) Where is FIT4FIT located?

FIT4FIT started out in Tampa, Florida through the John P. Lowth Entrepreneurship center, in the Masters in Entrepreneurship program in 2016, and due to health problems from the CEO of FIT4FIT, had to stop testing for the service in 2018. FIT4FIT is now is located in Camden, Maine, and is starting testing again in July 2021.

6) How is the matchmaking form put together?

FIT4FIT made the form through testing of gyms and psychological research that is backed up, that shows the science of most successful relationships between personal trainers and clients. FIT4FIT is continuing testing to see how the matchmaking compatibility tool can be better for personal trainers being matched with clients to see what and what is not needed on the tool that is essential for being matched.

7) If the personal trainer is not a appropriate match for me, what do I do?

If the personal trainer is not a qualified match for you, you don't have to commit to working with that trainer. The personal trainers on FIT4FIT will offer a free consultation and a first session, to give the client time to decide whether it is a appropriate match. What is between the client and the trainer is contractual between the two parties, and FIT4FIT is not responsible in any way for the contract between the two parties. FIT4FIT holds no liability if the match doesn't work in any way or anywhere, or if the personal trainer breaks the contract.

8) Can I have a training partner with the personal trainer?

That is between you and the personal trainer contractually. FIT4FIT is for matching you with the personal trainer.

9) How do I contact FIT4FIT if I have any questions that aren't answered?

If you have any questions about the matchmaking compatibility form and who you've been matched with, please contact casey.wilson323@gmail.com, and FIT4FIT will respond as soon as possible.
